Richard Ruff

Richard Ruff is a Professional Counselor. During Richard's years of experience he has worked with couples in separation and divorce, parent-child relationships, addictions, depression, single issues and couple communication. Richard is a member of the American Psychology Association. Richard has been happily married for 10 years to his wife Laurel and they are the parents of 5 children.

In his clinical work Richard uses multiple successful therapies to fill the needs of his clients. These approaches may include cognitive-behavioral methods; client centered and structured family therapy. Helping clients find new views and practices to their lives is sometimes all a client needs. Richard believes clients must feel comfortable and safe in therapy.

Richard describes counseling as a process of learning how to be happy. Not a place to cover up or disregard old wounds. Richard feels that in their own time and within their own personal space, people can always feel happier about themselves and their situations in life.
